Reading Challenge

2015 means a new challenge! I am still trying to achieve the 12 books per year or aiming (once again) to improve my mark. This time I will also like to read books in other languages, even if they are children’s books. Fingers crossed!!

  2. Gente Tóxica, Bernardo Stamateas (Finished January)[ESP]
  3. The Symposium, Plato (Finished January)[ENG]
  4. El sueño del celta, Mario Vargas Llosa (Finished March)[ESP]
  5. Emociones Tóxicas, Bernardo Stamateas (Finished March)[ESP]
  6. The Invisible Hand, Adam Smith (Finished April)[ENG]
  7. Cruel and Unusual, Patricia Cornwell (Finished June)[ENG]
  8. On Friendship, Michel de Montaigne (Finished July)[ENG]
  9. Seepralta lorahti pissa, Pittau & Gervais (Finished July)[SUO]
  10. Elizabeth is Missing, Emma Healey (in Progress)[ENG]
  11. Sabidurías. 365 Pensamientos de maestros de la India, Daniela y Olivier Föllmi (in progress)[ESP]

With year 2014 around the corner I set again a reading challenge, again with the same amount of books, 12. I will be happy if I could read more than last year. Let’s see how it goes!

  1. Paganini’s Contract, Lars Kepler (Finished August)
  2. Animal Farm, George Orwell (Finished August)
  3. Body of Evidence, Patricia Cornwell (Finished July)
  4. Terrorism: A Very Short Introduction, Charles Townsend (Finished July)
  5. The Secret, Rhonda Byrne (Finished July)
  6. 50 Shades Darker, EL James (Finished in June)
  7. The Inconvenient Indian, Thomas King (Finished June)
  8. Dame tus ojos, Torsten Pettersson (Finished June)
  9. Decorating with Style, Abigail Ahern (Finished May)

Some months ago (around January) I get to know something called “Reading Challenge”, what I read back then was related with months and mountains, but basically it’s that you set a goal of books you want to read and try to achieve it during the year. I have set my own goal in 12 books for 2013.

As we all know, challenges sometimes don’t get done and this was the case. My goal has been reduced to only 5 books. In my defence I have to say that I have read many law books and articles that I had not written here (maybe I should do so for next year).

So here they are:

  1. Post Mortem, Patricia Cornwell (Finished January)
  2. Unexpected Vacancy, J.K. Rowling (Finished April)
  3. Heat Rises, Richard Castle (Finished June)
  4. 50 Shades of Grey (Finished August)
  5. Down and Out in Paris and London, George Orwell (Finished December)
